Great news for singles who love books. Penguin has just launched an online dating service.  The service went live last week and had more than 500 subscribers in the first three days. Subscribers have to list the book they read recently and you can search profiles for their favourite book. It’s sort of the virtual version of speed dating in libraries that was a bit of a craze last year.

I think it’s always fun talking about your favourite book with someone who’s read it as well. But the site just looks like any other dating site with a bit of a literary edge. But if that’s your thing then what a great way to make some new friends with your interests and you never know, you could have your very own ‘you’ve got mail’ happy ending.
