…to an old article someone recommended to me. Just dug it up out of my inbox. Discusses the self-publishing boom from a business perspective, and looks at booksellers’ interaction with self-published stuff.

At The Guardian.

  1. Antonio,

    the article ends with…
“New technologies … have levelled the proverbial playing field, stirring a grassroots movement that empowers writers … and even non-writers … who are suddenly discovering that they can reach a meaningful audience with a remarkably small investment of time and money.”
There is an Aussie company that harnesses these new technologies. check them out at http://www.xbook.com.au. They are great for the self publisher who wants hardcover picture books printed. i used xbook to print my illustrated childrens books.
