If you are a speechwriter for a world leader, you would think that a few hints and tips from your university days would have sunk in. A tip like ‘don’t plagiarise’ is especially useful when the people you work for are on the world stage. Lecturers are always reminding students that those stupid enough to plagiarise can easily be found out with google. But it seems Owen Lippert learned none of those lessons. While working for Stephen Harper in 2003 he plagiarised a section of a speech that had been made by former PM, John Howard. You can watch the incriminating video here.
