Because of who we are and what we do, writers regularly tell us what they need to help develop skills and connect with audiences. So we then get together with a whole range of talented professionals – authors, publishers, editors, agents, writers centres, competition organisers – and devise ways for writers to plan their pathways to publication.
The Byron Bay Nuts and Bolts Workshop is one of those special moments when it all comes together, in one room, for one day: this Thursday 4 August, 10am-4pm. The cost is $80/60 and you can book your tickets here. You’ll hear the inside story from industry experts, including successful publishers, authors, editors, publicists, digital gurus, and more!
We also provide a free quarterly subscription to AWMonline as part of the ticket price – our website of contacts, opportunities, resources for writers – so participants can put what they learn at Nuts and Bolts into practice straight away.
After the workshop, I’ll be letting my hair down at the launch party (I love my job!). My 3 top favourite things about BBWF launch parties are:
- Beachside venue (for special views and vibe).
- Meeting or catching up with wonderful wordlovers.
- Never stressing about what to wear because there’s always someone sensibly dressed in jeans and an old tee-shirt.
At AWM, writers are our rock stars. Come join the band.
