The Guardian has posted a transcript of Doris Lessing’s Nobel Prize Acceptance Speech. To paraphrase Articulate, who also cites other sources, she warns that not reading books can only end badly, and that while the internet is something of a miracle, its inanities are a risk. How many people waste time blogging when they could be off reading a good book or learning about the world?
